A company's server room has 46 servers, and it is now required to use an IP KVM to achieve remote centralized management of the server room.
II. Customer Requirements:
1. Security:
Managing the server room must fully consider the security of the room data.

The server room management may need to expand the number of system devices and other switching management functions at any time.

The solution must be easy to operate and convenient for wiring.
4. Independent Management Capability:
The solution must be capable of remote independent control and management each device, or non-remote independent control and management of each device.
Compatibility: The equipment used must be fully backward compatible with the original KVM devices to save costs

III. Product Configuration:
VOELLS IPKVM-1716M: 3 units — Rack-mounted16-port IPKVM switchers
IV. Solution Description:
The solution recommends using the VOELLS IP series product IPKVM-171M, employing a cascading method for centralized and unified control.
1. Each IPKVM-1716M is connected to 16 hosts via dedicated K cables. Using 3 units of IPKVM-1716M can connect a total of 46 hosts.
2. The 3 IPKVM-116M units are cascaded using KVM cascade cables.
3. The local control terminal is connected to the data center control center, and the LAN port is connected the local area network. This enables both local and remote IP control terminals to perform BIOS-level operations on the servers.
V. Solution Advantages:
1. Simpl and standardizes data center wiring. Analog KVMs only provide limited extension for keyboards, mice, and monitors, resulting in numerous and complex connections. This solution uses dedicated KVM for unified connection, making the wiring simple.
2. Centralized management. By using one set of VOELLS KVM system, a total of 46 servers 6 server cabinets can be centrally managed. The connected computers can be displayed in the OSD menu, and all servers can be renamed for user-friendly management.
3 Remote management. By utilizing IP to implement network remote centralized management functions, remote access for network administrators is achieved.
4. Simple operation, no software installation required. Switching multiple hosts can be done via three methods: keyboard hotkeys, OSD menu, and switch buttons, with a buzzer alert sound provided.
5. High cost-performance. This solution adopts IPKVM switchers, significantly saving economic costs.
